Addressing climate change is our urgent obligation; even climate change deniers must finally recognize the dire situation in front of us. The 116th congress WILL act — and it’s up to voters to force the senate and the president to support action as well theatlantic.com/science/archiv

I will support whatever strategy gets bold, science-based recommendations to the floor of the House for a vote the soonest. I am not sure a select committee does that. If it does, then yes. If it doesn’t, then we should go the regular committee route.

thanks for getting back to me! the purpose of the committee would be to write a bill that would meet the scientific recommendations . the ipcc report calls for nothing less than transforming the world economy at a that has “no documented historic precedent,” )

I’m for whatever gets us to that most quickly. I know current progressive members have good legislation that’s been waiting for a majority - I’m eager to work with (and learn from) them to see how to move as soon as possible
