We definitely need to push back against this false narrative that there is a crisis due to immigration at our border. El Paso with its overwhelming immigrant community it is consistently in the top five safest cities in the nation
There is no border that exists that seals off a country 100%. Nor should it! Border and immigrant communities are safe, vibrant, and represent the best of America’s values. This is so true. In the past 15 years, I’ve lived in 7 different states due to my husband’s Army career. I’ve never felt safer anywhere or more welcomed by the community than I did when we lived in El Paso. I miss it.
