@TeamYouTube Hi Folks - there is an old YT account/channel set up for our business by someone who can no longer access the associated email account. We need it removed or to gain access. Would a copyright claim work? Please advise, thanks.

Hi there. You'll need to have at least one of your account related information (i.e email/username and any recovery options, if set up). Once you have that here's how you can regain access: https://goo.gl/v7CdWx . Let us know if that helps.

Can't recover--the account was set up ages ago by an employee who no longer works at the business and does not have access to his associated Gmail account. Is there a way to claim the acct on behalf of the business which owns the videos? Copyright claim?

Was this a Brand Account? Also, if it's a legacy account and you don’t remember the password, there is no password recovery option for such accounts. A copyright claim would not be of help with account recovery. Learn more on how content ID works here: https://goo.gl/GbYuJW

Can we submit a takedown claim on the basis that the original account owner/poster does not have rights to the videos?
