Very helpful thank you! What if, I want to play it on PS4 (digitally) but probably plan on buying a XBOX Series X instead of a PS5? Probably will have to pay twice...but will my in game purchases/progress carry over with account cross save?

Since you have to log in with your Activision Account everywhere, the progress should be there back and forth.
