I don’t know how much I can trust Epic for now. Not saying they are lying but after them suing Google (with Android allowing different stores and sideloading) their arguments just became much weaker and this entire situation a stunt.

Of course this is a stunt. Doesn’t mean it is without merit. Android doesn’t allow alternative app stores to the same degree of prominence that Google Play does. For example, the system won’t trust any apps installed outside the play store regardless of the delivery mechanism.
