    We don’t have to look far to see that works. NJ enacted bail reform in 2017 & faced much pushback. They weathered it & now, the state is better for it. The results? Fewer people in jail, fewer arrests, & a steadily declining crime rate.

    Kudos to for their video on why cities should have a universal representation program for immigrants (as NYC already does): . One number speaks powerfully: immigrants are 10x more likely to avoid deportation when represented!

    I've never thought of myself as an influencer to anyone (except hopefully my children!). But I will gladly accept any label that the gives. Vera does so much great work on criminal justice, and particularly prison, reform.
