Oh, and my favorite clip I didn't use came from a conversation about adapting to changing weather conditions: "Me: And so how often does it happen that in the course of a day you do exactly what you planned the day before? Chief Scientist: Never. Ah well… It happened once."

Aww thanks! Like I said, I could do a whole podcast on arctic science improvisation! As someone who’s plan-obsessed I was really impressed with how well these folks worked under constantly changing conditions!

It is great! When does the second leg start? I am in an APECS-APPLICATE-YOPP Arctic climate modeling course and a lot of the professors were going to the second leg. Really wish I could go! Stoked and jealous you got to see it in action.

I think January? That's when the first leg folks head back at least. Yeah, it was definitely pretty awesome to be out there!
