It seems that there is an attempt to unseat the Maduro government happening, and the US and this guy figured it was best to preempt any chance of free elections by already anointing their preferred President.

Any insight into how the opposition has managed to galvanize protesters so effectively? For a small group, they really have a big turnout. Is it a matter of national political culture, foreign intervention, all of the above, etc.?
