1/ Excuse me, but Microsoft has done nothing to earn the trust of the open source community.
8/ They joined the Linux Foundation... Membership is even directly advertised as a buy-in to help decide the path of Linux, and Microsoft now suddenly has a say in that. Is that comforting?

9/ Now they want to buy the "beating heart" of Open Source development. To run the service that drives much of open source. How can that possibly be a good thing? It's like putting meat into a hungry dog's mouth and expecting it not to bite.

@Microsoft hasn't changed in any important way, they are the same they have always been. Open sourcing something not#Windows or#DirectX, Office still doesn't use#OpenDocument as default, Secure Boot is still centrally controlled by them, and there are patents.Show this thread
