    I thought being in lockdown I would have more time to code but it’s been the complete opposite. Now I found my coding den has been taken over by my daughter who has started making her own games :)

    Got a clear couple of hours free to program on my . It’s lot fun and has several tricky constraints like pico8. Restricted to 2K of graphics ram so you have to optimise what you are sending down. So far I’m happy with the results. Will have some images next week.

    Just posted an Alpha version of Star Wars Pico 8 game Ive been working on. I wouldnt recommend playing the browser version as it slow. However the windows/mac/linux version run Pico8 should be ok. It's under the WIP in SPLORE.

    Level 1 is coming a long now. Laser collision detection is done, and explosions are in. Next steps is to make sure the Tie fighters respawn properly and add fireballs.

    The basic Tie Fighter movement is now in place. A little more tweaking to do but going to focus on explosions and fireballs next.

    Finally after three rewrites I have a routine to rotate and move the tie fighters while keeping the speed acceptable. Need to code the movement patterns next but that shouldn't be as tough :)

    My little girl wanted to go as a ghostbuster for Halloween this year so we spent the weekend making her costume. One draining board, some old computer parts and stickers and we have a proton pack. Just the gun part to do now :)

    Two long weeks of exams over (which I passed thankfully). Now hopefully I can get back to some coding this weekend. I need to think about doing some real 3D transformations for 1st level of my star wars port... I can feel my head pounding already.

    Now started work on the first stage and the Tie Fighter model is in. Also started the level select screen. Under the hood I have tidied up my code and fixed several bugs. Best of all I some have music and sfx thanks to
