Traditional clean tech is still probably not attractive to VCs (high capex, long lead times, etc.). “New” cleantech, companies leveraging data to gain previously untapped efficiencies and knowledge, will be the target (higher margins and faster time to market).

There is no such thing as “traditional cleantech”. The word Climate Tech has just been invented to be acceptable to otherwise scared LPs and to sound more cool in PR, but it’s exactly the same thing
