It's that time of year again, folks. No, not the time to start complaining it's too early for Christmas decorations and music at the mall. I mean the time of year when Donald Trump finds himself "all alone." https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2019/11/donald-trump-all-alone-white-house/601537/ …

The joke, of course, is that it's always the time of year when Trump finds himself "increasingly isolated" and "going it alone" and "lonely." Winter, summer, spring, or fall; sunshine or rain; morning, noon or night. https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/09/15/donald-trump-isolated-alone-trumpology-white-house-215604 … https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/22/us/politics/trump-two-years.html …pic.twitter.com/wMmurByt0E

H/t to @bernybelvedere, @BecketAdams, @AllanRicharz, and @asmuniz, each of whom sent me the Atlantic story. I clearly have a brand now. That brand being hunter of Trump tropes and media narratives. I hunt them like zombies. Call me Varad Helsing.

"Trump Is Isolated" isn't the only zombie Trump trope roaming the land again. "Trump Is Transforming the Judiciary" and its variants have never stop shuffling mindlessly along the road. https://www.politico.com/news/2019/11/06/trump-impeachment-legacy-066949 … https://www.dailysignal.com/2019/11/07/how-trump-is-reshaping-the-courts/ … https://www.thenation.com/article/trump-judges-steven-menashi/ …pic.twitter.com/hglKL7B2bN

        It wouldn't be a mass resurrection of Trump tropes without everyone's favorite. That's right: once again, "THE WALLS ARE CLOSING IN." https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/10/08/walls-are-closing/ … https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2019/10/war_on_truth/ … https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2019/10/bill-taylor-testimony-donald-trump-impeachment-inquiry … https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/mary-anne-marsh-walls-closing-trump …pic.twitter.com/6aJtmqSTSI

How might Trump react to being alone as the walls close in? The only way he can, of course. Yep, "Trump rages." https://time.com/5696533/trump-rally-minnesota-impeachment/ … https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-rages-at-pelosi-mattis-isis-escapees-and-communists-during-meltdown-in-white-house-syria-meeting … https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/467574-trump-rages-against-garbage-ukraine-probe-ahead-of-latest-witness … https://www.cnbc.com/2019/10/29/trump-rages-against-impeachment-as-official-will-testify-about-ukraine-call.html …pic.twitter.com/XvKky1WvO8

I'd say "stop me if you've heard this one before," but I won't because I know you have. From me most of all. "Trump Is Transforming the Judiciary" is from Part I of my series on "Narratives of the Trump Administration," published way back in January. https://arcdigital.media/narratives-of-the-trump-administration-part-i-cf65e1277871?source=friends_link&sk=0f80510e1505192a1c6792f06d794eae …

"Trump Rages" is from Part II in March. https://arcdigital.media/narratives-of-the-trump-administration-part-ii-c8e02cf3a9e0?source=friends_link&sk=9c01efc22ad955ba8ae5455379de6cb9 …

I did "Trump Is Isolated" and "Trump Goes It Alone" in Part III, which finally arrived in July. https://arcdigital.media/narratives-of-the-trump-administration-part-iii-ce2dfd3a4320?source=friends_link&sk=ff837fdc34d16226f7b9ba4500df01a2 …

The series may have finished with Part IV in August, but the walls clearly never stopped closing in. https://arcdigital.media/narratives-of-the-trump-administration-part-iii-ce2dfd3a4320?source=friends_link&sk=ff837fdc34d16226f7b9ba4500df01a2 …

I've vowed not to do a Part V, in part because there aren't any narratives left to do. But also because I'd never run out of fresh material rehashing them. Though maybe one day I'll try to come up with a Mad Lib which incorporates all eleven of them in one sentence.
