Me: "I'll take a quick five minute shower and be on my way to see all the sights." Hotels: "You'll take ten minutes figuring out the water temperature so you don't freeze or melt your skin off, another ten fiddling with the shower head, then ten more actually washing yourself."

Also hotels: "And don't forget the ten minutes you'll spend drying yourself with three towels the size of postage stamps."

I can deal with a shower head that comes to my shoulder or one with the weird settings that give you a trickle of water. But together they are a terrible combo. If you're gonna make me duck, at least give me only one disadvantage. I'm not even that tall (~6'2").

I've stayed at hotels with fancier bathrooms which have those rain shower shower heads. Which are nice. But even the fancy hotels do dumb crap like having those faucets where you have to go through the cold water to get to the hot. I HATE THAT. Left for hot, right for cold!

I haven't even mentioned my biggest pet peeve about hotel bathrooms: when the vanity and bath are separate. I REALLY HATE THAT. Put the sink and the toilet in the same spot, damnit! Whoever came up with this design, a curse be upon him and his children to the tenth generation.

Airbnb was probably founded by people who were sick of hotel bathrooms. I can't say I blame them.

Regularly showering onboard a nearly 50 year old warship can significantly alter one’s feelings about showers. They’re all good to me now.

Made the mistake of buying an expensive, high quality shower head. Now I can't stand hotel showers even more.
