If you recall, I said I'd borrow "Spider-Man" from the library to see how I liked the controls before buying. I did that and have been playing it for a few days. I like parts of it and don't like parts of it.

The world design is A+. They did a great job recreating Manhattan. It's fun to swing around the island. I wish you could fast travel. As I feared, though, I'm having issues with the controls. They're fussy and fidgety. I'm not sure if that's me, the game, or the controller.

I'm not used to the PS controller for this kind of game and it's killing me. Literally. I keep getting beat up by goons because I can never remember which button to press when. I do like that you can set it to hold a button down instead of repeatedly tapping it when required.

The Stan Lee cameo was neat. The game might be really good or it might be kind of a chore. It's in the middle right now. I feel as though I should be fighting more bad guys. Like villain bad guys. I guess I'm still in the build-up stage, so maybe it feels slower than it is.

One of the things the game has you do is take photographs of certain "landmarks," the game calls them. Tonight I shot the Sanctum Sanctorum (which led Spidey to comment about how "Strange" the place seems) and Alias Investigations. Tie-ins, what are they?

Do you feel woke-ish?

Not even slightly.

It probably would've annoyed me less if the game weren't in a lull as far as the story goes right now.

Are there any missions where Spiderman, you know, catches bad guys?
-
I've been told there are, but it seems right now I'm in the exposition part of the game. The last story mission where I fought people was like five missions ago.
