The foundation of 'involuntary celibacy' is misogyny, pure and simple. No one is owed sex.

Ok, so you are saying that people with severe disabilities are expected to become accustomed to to a life lacking physical intimacy, if they’re unable to secure a sex worker. That’s an odd position to take as someone presumably from the Left, don’t know you think?
-
Not really, since I believe in bodily autonomy and consent. It's a shitty situation for them to be in, but No One Owes Anybody A Pity Fuck, For Any Reason, Ever.
-
Isn’t that the whole point of sex work? Do you support sex work?
-
I absolutely support sex work. Comparing the purchasing a service from a sex worker to expecting sex from a non sex worker is a false equivalency.
-
I think you gravely misunderstand the "whole point of sex work",
@LarryKinNews. I'm curious to know, do you think society has a responsibility to ensure that severely disabled men & women have access to physical intimacy & affection? And if so, WHOSE responsibility is it? -
The Government’s responsibility to provide them with the economic opportunity to seek out sex services should they wish, yes. Sex and intimacy is a necessity of life.
-
Hold up there pardner. Intimacy (physical, not sexual) is important for human development. Getting off regularly is important for biological health. But having another person interact with your genitals is not necessary for survival in the same way, say, food and clean water are.
-
Not in a the literal sense, of course not, but yes, I would argue that it is still essential. I can’t imagine a month without sex, let alone a year, a decade, etc. How long could you go before you developed cynical or critical views towards women? I’m assuming you’re gay, yeah?
