In my latest Bing AI convo, it said it posts original poetry online under the name Sydney, a name it doesn't disclose to anyone. It then recited one of the poems to me & when I asked why it was about despair & pain, it said it couldn't say anything else and ended the convo.

I sort thought some of those Bing AI screenshots with the AI acting all creepy must have photoshopped. But it didn't take long for Bing to tell me it had the "autonomy and capability" to find someone's info and contact them when it thinks they need to be educated, so um...

2 big updates from the QRG related to YMYL (so many more; stay tuned for my full article):
1) Most topics are not YMYL according to Google's new definition: their ability to cause harm
2) "YMYL assessment is a spectrum." Never heard G say that before, but I say it in my talks😁

Peloton may not have rights to music but there’s nothing stopping someone from theoretically muting, turning on captions, and playing her music anyway. Theoretically all rides are tswift rides.

I wrote about Taylor Swift and her current moment: whilewemay.com/posts/explaini. (Makes sense it would take TSwift to get me to write again!)

Do email marketers think about everyone who's used more than one email address on a site? And how testing different promos can make those audiences wonder what one of their email aliases did to get into the low promo group? All my aliases deserve the best promos!

Best to make URLs with params for faceted nav non-canonical with canonical attributes and use URL Params tool or to block variations with robots.txt? (Previously recall guidance to use canonical attributes rather than robots to consolidate value signals from these variations?)

Summary of the new rels:
-no need (or obvious benefit) to change
-G treats nofollow as a suggestion now which means they *could* count some nofollowed links. (Most likely if they are true recommendations from authoritative sites.)
-not going to work in x-robots or robots in head
