And not just at work. Happened to me at university

Me too. Workplaces are bad, universities are bad, this happens everywhere humans can be found and power is up for grabs.

I raised my daughter to always stand up2any form of harassment like that. Shared my story w/her. We need to raise our kids2Bconfident&strong

YES! I have two sons and we are teaching them to be upstanders, not bystanders.

I was harassed by senior academic males from honours years on to post grad. It's a male thing

All abuse of power, in this case sexual abuse, is appalling. Watching and saying nothing us also appalling

As someone who works in a relevant field it’s often surprising what people don’t see. Abusers manipulate everyone, in all types of abuse

She had a fortitude and bravery I’m unsure most would’ve had. That situation was intimidating and hopeless. A rare response

What is wrong with people in positions of power? Why do they think they automatically have the right to abuse/assault people

Sheer nastiness. Lack of ability to understand do as you would be done by. No idea of management. Stupidity. Take your pick.

Me too and my loyalty is there for good kind ppl. You treat me like crap, I'll still do my job but I won't go above and beyond

I have endured psychological & emotional abuse to keep work so I guess that's no different than putting up w sexual harassment to get ahead
