I saw Blade Runner in the Cinerama Theater in Seattle in 1982. Watching this in 70 mm / 6 track Dolby blew my mind. Everything about this was amazing: the synths, the 224 reverb, the huge percussion. R.I.P. Vangelis

The opening titles of one of my favorite Sci-fi movies, straight from the Blu-ray disc. One of the most evocative openings in a sci-fi film that I can remember.

My mother and I used to listen to Vangelis together when she gave me rides. We loved all of his music, especially the albums Heaven and Hell, Chariots of Fire, and Spiral. He inspired me to become an electronic musician. R.I.P. Vangelis and R.I.P. to my mother who has also died.
