    From July 20-August 4, 2021, VDACS will accept applications for the 2021 Beehive Distribution Program, which provides VA residents 18+ with equipment for assembling up to 3 new hives. Recipients will be selected at random from eligible applications.

    Here are four tips to keep food safe at July 4th festivities! ~Clean surfaces, utensils & hands with soap & water. ~Use separate plates & utensils for raw & cooked meat. ~Cook foods to the right temp. ~Chill foods. Don’t leave at room temp for 2+ hours.

    Summer travels may bring unwanted "hitchhikers". If traveling through VA (esp Frederick, Clarke & Warren counties) check vehicles for Spotted Lanternfly. Don't let invasive pests hitch a ride! If you see them, snap a pic & send to ReportAPest@vdacs.virginia.gov, then squash it!
