Question is: why? The optimizer should optimize for the engine not the other way around. That or the optimizer become official.
It’s a two-way street. If a coding pattern is commonly used, why wouldn’t engines optimize for it?
So I agree as an architect somewhat, but that's not a pattern per say. It would suit better to support a correct pattern for the engine.
That is, for example, they decide to support optimizations targeted for specific platforms. That allows abstraction.
What I'm trying to say is, optimizing a coding style from a generator is not a software pattern.
