    The thing that's even more enraging is she is not even a dual national - she is only British but the fact that she could *potentially* get Bangladeshi citizenship is what the home office used

    You don’t need to have sympathy for Shamima Begum to recognise that if citizenship of dual citizens is made conditional, they do not have equal legal rights to other British citizens. Creates a lesser, 2nd class of conditional citizens whose rights can be revoked by the state

    to be more practical... i guess it is because the host needs somewhere to put their pieces of paper where they don't show up on camera? but you wanna see the guests full-body? but British shows have the same problems & solve it less weirdly
