For our first speaker, we have Bianca Bueno as she talks about Design For People! Her role in her previous work was to convert data and government announcement to meaningful inforgraphics and comms.pic.twitter.com/Mi38CSb5m5
Designing encompasses 3 different elements: designing for people, content, and context.pic.twitter.com/ixEzfoLelR
“The website should act like a helpful human.” (Bueno, 2019)pic.twitter.com/QXeonJKfJz
Bianca mentioned a few studies made by http://sakay.ph comparing the current public transportation signages and what it should portray for easier navigation.pic.twitter.com/RYa2jicMoc
Next, we have Sophia Lucero as our second speaker. Her lightning talk is all about Tidying Up Messes inspired by the now trending KonMari method.pic.twitter.com/cE7m6GuqSf
As stated by Sophia, we all should think about how we are working and if the design we are working on spark joy to us and to everyone else.
Our last speaker for today, Carlo Oseo is an advocate of Invisible Disabilities which is his talk for #WIAD19.pic.twitter.com/8BXWC3wGKj
Carlo states that it gets confusing and difficult to go through some websites and social media applications when it comes to accessing PWD privileges.
Going through some difficult medical journey himself, Carlo hopes that everyone who attended #WIAD19 will help in communicating and spreading awareness about invisible disabilities to others.
Thank you so much to Bianca Bueno, Sophia Lucero, and Carlo Oseo for all the meaningful and insightful talks!pic.twitter.com/VC8yJVbgWB

Under the 4 Categories of Features, we have Performance, Must-be, Attractive, and Indifferent.pic.twitter.com/CduKzK7oQX
Our participants are writing down which category they think fits best under each example feature of a UX website.pic.twitter.com/OgBuwkNW7R

Some takeaways from #WIAD19 #WIADManila:
- Be mindful with how we create products and interact with people can have an impact.
- Proper research can help you properly design your products.
- Spread awareness and understand people with different disabilities.
That’s it for this year’s #DesignForDifference: World Information Architecture Day 2019 Manila! Thank you so much to everyone who came and participated during the talks and workshop!
