    Arrived in Grand Mesa, CO yesterday to help out with the field campaign. Snowmobile training today, then snow science tomorrow!

  3. Andri () visited our research group through the Valle Scandinavian Exchange Program in 2018. He's back in Iceland now and rumor has it- he passed his "midway exam" on snow & ice in Iceland!! Congratulations Andri and goodluck with your proceeding PhD work. ❄️

  7. Recently defended Master's student, Dylan Reynolds, leaves for Davos, Switzerland in just a few days! He is pursuing his Ph.D. with the Snow Hydrology Group at the Swiss Federal Institute for Snow & Avalanche Research (SLF). Congratulations Dylan, we cannot wait to visit!! ❄️💧🏔️

    2020 Snow School update: Instructor Nick Rutter lead a lecture outside about how we think about modeling. When we are laying down and looking at the sky, we are acting as "radiometers" and seeing the hemispheric view relevant to modelers. Wow!

    Day two of Snow School, we are lucky enough to be at Hobbard Brook Experimental Forest! Morning lectures have started, and we will spend the rest of the day taking snow depth measurements.

  10. A beautiful morning from 2020 Snow Measurement Field School in Bretton Woods, NH. 30 participants & 10 instructors are ready for a busy week at AMC Highland Center. Dr. Mckenzie Skiles () kicks off the morning with a Snow Science 101 lecture!
