  1. On January 22, we will be hosting for Brain Science president Christof Koch for a special evening seminar on "Proust among the machines." 7pm, with a reception to follow in the CNC!

  2. Our co-director recently participated in a discussion at on "Futures: Trends in Science + Technology & their Implications for Art + Performance." Adrienne spoke on developments in comp neuro and implications for artists, discussing Lab work.

  3. At the final meeting of this quarter’s CompNeuro Journal club, we discussed Curto and Morrison’s Oct 2019 paper “Relating network connectivity to dynamics: opportunities and challenges for theoretical neuroscience” Presented by and Megan Auger.

  8. Our weekly CompNeuro journal club is back up and running for the quarter. Today, we discussed Cheung et al’s preprint "Superposition of many models into one" from and . Led by AJ Kruse and Satpreet Singh.

  9. We will be hosting author and humanist Lawrence Weschler on October 9, for a discussion of his new book "And How Are You, Dr. Sacks?", a biographical memoir of his friendship with Oliver Sacks. Join us at 7 in Turner Auditorium (HSB D209), reception to follow

  10. Next Monday April 15, the CNC will be hosting Genevieve Bell , director of the and Intel Sr Fellow, for an exciting talk on the intersection of cultural practice and technology development. 7 PM in HSB D209, reception to follow!

  11. Congrats to Alison Weber on her thesis defense. Ali worked with Eric Shea-Brown and Fred Rieke on methods to parse contributions to neural variability. Next stop, Tom Daniel's lab as a WRF Innovation Fellow!
