Every generation is more K-selected than the previous one but humans don’t evolve that fast. So you have boom-bust cycles in human evolution.

my tldr: k-selected species have a few kids they take care of a lot, r-selected have lots of kids they don't take much care of. My question, is there any connotation around the variable name "k"? Saw it come up in an etymology context this week, as a "k-derivative":pic.twitter.com/cyA4pJDYoX
