I just want to take a second to object to both the idea that IRL communication is easier than online communication, and to the notion that natural language is easier to understand than formal notation. Agreed. Personally, the online communication is harder (for now!), due to lack of practice. But i see them like two musical instruments. Each has its own technique you need to learn, but learning one teaches you "music" generally, which makes learning the other easier.
