    Elected in 1974, Don was only the second person to represent the Alaska in Congress. He was truly an iconic figure in the House and his absence will be deeply felt by everyone. Ann and I are praying for his wife Anne and his family during this difficult time. We’ll all miss him.

    I am heartbroken by the sudden passing of Alaska representative and House Dean, Don Young. He was a dedicated public servant and friend to so many. He devoted his life to the people of Alaska and improving their lives wherever he could.

    Energy security is national security. The United States shouldn’t go from depending on one foreign dictator for energy to the next.

    America should be leading to restore our energy dominance and bolster our geopolitical power. We should be flipping the switch on OUR energy production—not lurching to a rush-to-green agenda that makes America reliant on Chinese supply chains.

    These are shameless comments from the President. Inflation has been rising at an unsustainable rate for American families since his presidency began. Instead of conveniently blaming Putin for it, he should consider reversing his failed economic policies.

    Today’s inflation report is a reminder that Americans’ budgets are being stretched by price increases and families are starting to feel the impacts of Putin’s price hike. But I am fighting to bring down the everyday prices that are squeezing Americans.
