RSVP and invite others using this link: http://bit.ly/uspcnturath Meet another one of our performers who will be performing spoken word for us all: Lubna Morrar is a Palestinian, Organizer and poet, Native and currently living in Oakland, CA.
She graduated of San Francisco State University, where she became heavily politicized within the General Union of Palestine Students (GUPS) and Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM). Her work consists of Political Prisons, Anti-Colonial frameworks , and Youth movement building.
Not only an artist, Morrar has also been recognized as a significant constituent in the greater Palestinian movement, both locally and Internationally. Morrar has lead major projects in PYM, both on a national and transnational levels of organizing.
Delegations to South Africa, Palestine, Brazil, Canada, and across Turtle Island. She comes from a long line of political activism, especially as the women in her family and comradery have instilled in her a strong political and liberated consciousness of race, class, and gender.
