    Every Amazon worker who has been forced to work during hazardous weather knows why this happened. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this senseless, avoidable tragedy.

    Emergency response officials in the IL suburbs of St Louis say "50 to 100" Amazon workers are trapped under rubble or inside a mammoth Amazon warehouse/fulfillment center in Edwardsville, IL after walls collapsed following a tornado.

    Our member speaks on the common disconnect between the usage of the label "worker cooperative" and a business' actual ownership structure in this 🧵! Here's how we define a worker co-op at the USFWC:

    2/ Use of the term "co-operative" is not regulated in the US, but organizations like the vet applications against reputable standards and offer a public directory of their members. Still, anyone is free to mis/use the label and it's on consumers to identify the fraudsters.
