As someone who has a history in civil disobedience, it would take a lot for me to actually ask for protesters to be arrested. To remind you, this was the appropriations hearing. It’s to discuss comparative budget implications of high ticket bills that already went through hearings with testimony. They were heard. At that point, they were just disrupting because they didn’t like the result.

I understand that it can be hard not to get your way. But disrupting all the rest of the business of the legislature - important work in service of all Californians - by standing on chairs and shouting isn’t actually a legitimate way to express that.
