this is late but anyone who defends hy*ga and what he did can literally fuck off. i’m incredibly tired of seeing people excuse his actions and having a lack of empathy for what sexual harassment victims go through. this backlash is exactly why we are afraid to speak up.
because WHAT we went through is never good enough. people will somehow always try to justify or downplay our experience. even though the trauma you get when you‘re sexually assaulted is something you’ll have to deal with for the rest of your life.
and speaking as someone who struggles with it regularly, i know what i’m talking about. but oh! it happened 5 years ago so it’s fine now, right? he was drunk so it shouldn’t be a big deal, right? stop trying to defend an assaulter and just shut up. listen to our voices for once
