@urbit what is the conceptual model for storing data? I can't seem to find this in the docs. If I build an app, am I effectively using the filesystem as the db? How to handle p2p apps and peering?

Each node runs their agents independently. When two nodes are running compatible agents, they can talk and share data. Chat, for example, sends typed data between Gall agents on separate nodes.

There is also a filesystem in Urbit (called Clay) which is sort of similar to Git but with continuous syncs. We use it to distribute system updates over the air.
