A mobile client can easily connect to your planet without running a full moon (with the urbit VM). Trying to get the whole binary into iOS would never pass Apple review.

android would probably work termux is so painfully slow so it would probably need to be adapted to android calls specifically

This can't be right. Codea and Pythonista run Lua and Python, two bytecode VMs. Is the actual problem downloading code from the big bad Net? That would make more sense.
