And everybody knows walking through a carcentric designed carpark is no fun at all. The penny has dropped with smart owner-operators of shopping centres in Australia, and they're now retrofitting pedestrian-priority crossings and tree-lined footpaths between rows of parked cars.

Additionally, car parking areas like this are an extremely dangerous area for people walking between the car and the shops. People have poor skills at driving slowly, there is no safe place to walk. And some take out their shopping rage once they are back inside their car.

I once worked with medical records, and I was astounded by the amount of serious damage done to people walking in parking lots, including deaths.
