Corollary: designers of parking lots seem to be unaware that literally every single parked car is associated with at least one pedestrian that must walk safely from that car to their destination and back.

This is such a great observation. And instead of walking down a tree lined street to the neighborhood grocery store, you’re schlepping through a sun baked eyesore.
