Our flight deck should reflect the diverse group of people on board our planes every day. That’s why we plan for 50% of the 5,000 pilots we train in the next decade to be women or people of color. Learn more and apply now: http://uafly.co/UnitedAviateAcademy …pic.twitter.com/r0ScH6MQAJ

I don’t care what race or gender your pilots are, I just want to know that they are the best pilots for the job. They could be a green alien for all I care just be the best

How did we get here? The last thing I would want is a pilot selected based on the color of his/her skin or the shape of his/her genitals rather than his/her ability to fly a plane.

They can't define person of color, so it will be interesting to see what happens with this. If a white man says he is 10% Indian, will they count him, or will they demand DNA test records? Will they count Semitic Jews as "color" or "white"? Its going to be a mess.

Actually @united, as your customer, I’d prefer your mission to always be to employ the VERY BEST and TALENTED pilots, regardless of race, color or gender.

Well, that's clearly not going to be the case from now on.
