    The inefficiency still stands, though, and it will be inevitably dealt with on the inter-AI level:

    What happens when a Google Duplex assistant answers the phone when a Google Duplex calls? Do they identify themselves and go to code to complete the transaction?

    The sad part about such powerful technology is that it is necessary just because humanity wasn't able to agree on a common data exchange standards that would solve it much more efficiently. We had to build huge-overhead AI speaking the same rudimentary low-bandwidth languages.

    Well if this is the Google master plan to fix the messaging mess, I'm moving my messaging elsewhere. Why on earth would I willingly tie myself to a phone number and surrender to carriers? No thanks.

    Let's see if Russian users are more valuable for Amazon and Google than half the internet is for Russia. Anyway, pretty sure Russia is working on it's version of Great Firewall by now.

    . just blocked another 2 million IP addresses. 1 million — Amazon’s subnet 54.160.0.0/12 and another 1 million — Google’s subnet 35.208.0.0/12. Overall, 5 million IP addresses were banned to stop 1 messenger that still works just fine.

    Like ? :) I'm paying for my account for years. No ads, different terms (all the data is mine), I own my e-mail address, have support, SLA... Ad-free social network is included, BTW.

    One of the saddest things is I remember one of the last Firefox OS versions got Gecko 44. So it had Sevice Workers and I think Web Push Notification support. And Mozilla made a "Pin the Web" feature that supported Web App Manifests.
