True, and lamentable. Most are not curious about statistics either, also lamentable. But the software folks tend to look down on R, highly lamentable.

Oh, there's only so much you can be curious about, and I try not to hold people's lack of interest against them. Which is fine. R users focus on business impact and communications more than anything else. They are the best use of their time.

To be clear: I don't think this reflects badly on anyone. It was more a comment on two groups that nominally have "programming" in common, but can think very differently about it.
