I had such a terrible experience at @Nordstrom that I went on to see how $JWN stock is doing. Let’s just say, I wasn’t surprised that the stock is 52% down YoY, and 82% down in last 5 years. Once I had Nordstorm Stock, & until yesterday I had a card.

The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function.

You have a choice, you do “right things” or do “everything”. There is nothings called “doing everything right.”

We should never confuse Absence of evidence as Evidence of absence.

Never engage in detailed overexplanation of why something important is important. Say it once, it’s a suggestion. Repeat once, it’s a recommendation. Then it’s just an avoidance knowledge.

You’re a part of the group larger than you, but it’s still smaller than humanity in aggregate.

Where simplification fail, causing the most damage, is when something nonlinear is simplified with the linear as substitute.

Loss is what happens when risk meets adversity.

To make a difference you have to believe that charge is possible.

Being able to develop, adopt, and implement new ideas helps organizations stay relevant when the environment around them is constantly changing.

Nobody can see the pathway ahead of them. We're all blind. But the people who succeed are the ones willing to walk in the dark anyway.

IF YOU OBSESS about making sure your business won't fail--rather than figuring out how to make it succeed--your focus will be in the wrong place.

Remember, no level of achievement on a resume can replace passion.
