What's the most devastating save file you ever lost? I was about 35 hours into Knights of the Old Republic II, right at the end, when my house got burgled and some prick stole my crystal Xbox.

I've never been much of a builder in the Sims, but I had spent dozens of hours on a carefully crafted mansion and garden in the Sims 2. Then my game got corrupted and I had to reinstall everything and lost that mansion ;-;

I had 151 Pokédex in Pokémon Red for the GameBoy. Those cartridge batteries don't last forever, and they don't recharge with play, either. Now, I don't *know* that the save is gone, because I'm too scared to turn it on. Schroedinger's Mew.

If it's any help, I found my original Pokemon Red GameBoy cartridge last year. Plugged it in, still had my save game there. I'd only collected 71 entries in the Pokedex though.

A weird one: my dad played through all of Hellgate London and just as he killed the last boss the game crashed. When he started it up again his save was busted. He never saw the game's ending lol
