    The strike might be over, but UCU members up and down the country are currently participating in Action Short of Strike (ASOS). What does that mean? You only work to your contract - no extra hours, no extra tasks! More info here:

    UCU and UCEA are meeting next week, please speak up for the staff to improve our working conditions, stop casualisation, reduce pay inequality and save our pensions! Lead the way!

    We have confirmed that we are willing to meet UCEA again on 17 December for further negotiations. We encourage employers to provide UCEA with a mandate to make an offer that substantively engages with each element of our claim.

    Today’s letter reaffirms UCU’s position that all four elements of the dispute – pay, casualisation, workload and equality pay gaps – need to be meaningfully addressed for the dispute to be resolved.

    Accept that - like last time - is right about most of the issues. Maybe there are nuanced details to disagree on. But saying "It's a national dispute" is an abdication of responsibility. Fight with us to fix the systemic issues in HE around the UK. 3/3

    USSBriefs rates as most staff friendly attitude during . I'm especially delighted to see that university management can learn from its mistakes - attitude to staff in 2018 strike was disgraceful. Two things more I'd love to see ... 1/3
