    This week the released its 2019 payroll data. Median lecturer salaries: 2015: $18,033 2016: $20,328 2017: $19,901 2018: $20,255 2019: $19,067 These are the teaching faculty entrusted with the education of UC students.

    Let’s not lose sight of the fact that and the Regents can change the rehiring practices of the . Our University does not have to be a “disemployer” of teaching faculty and can rehire qualified .

    Taught all through the pandemic and am now teaching my final class but they’ve already taken away my health insurance. Here I am still teaching and hoping my children don’t need to see a doctor.

    One of the many reasons we continue our fight for a . Qualified deserve reemployment preferences and should not be treated like second-tier faculty.

    The UC Office of the President says the same thing over and again, that they bargain in “good faith” and want to work quickly towards an agreement, but the reality after two years of bargaining says otherwise.
