Today I learned: Python’s concurrency-safe queue structures have a hard limit of 32,768 items. I totally did not deadlock a piece of code by not paying attention to that, why do you ask?

This reminds me of a problem we had years ago with a project that worked perfectly in development, but in production unveiled the limitations of memcached, which also has (had?) a hard upper limit. Swapped in Redis, and all was good, fortunately!
