talk about cherrypicking. . .here's an excerpt from that study you cited. ."Out of the 100 top films of 2016, a total of 14 movies had leads or co leads played by 16 actors from underrepresented racial/ethnic groups. This represents no change from last year."

It's pretty misleading to present a study like that and infer that there's some vast gulf of disparity between asian male and female representation. It's also about the quality of representation. Both sexes suffer from their respective stereotypes.

What good is it if there's twice as many Mr. Chows or Long Duk Dongs running around on screen? Let's advocate for each other. We don't have enough representation on either side to be squabbling like this.

Eh, it doesn’t have to be a contest. Both Asian men and women are underrepresented and portrayed poorly in media. Even if Asian men get more roles, they are often stereotypical ones. So more representation does not necessarily mean better representation.
