Any of y’all hear of Selena Not Afraid? ? How bout the war on ICWA, the law that keeps our kids in their culture? Or destruction of our sacred places by Line 3, KXL, Rio Tinto? This isn’t honor, this is grotesque erasure. For fun. And profit.

There’s a type of settler in Canada who act Indigenous. By that I mean they wear ribbon skirts and beaded earrings and are at the front of every Indigenous activism. They never mention they aren’t native unless pressed. Honestly they take up so much space.

I’m sick of racism. Surveilling “foreign” people & their nonwhite bodies bc coronavirus came “oversea” is racism. Assuming Chinese & other Asian people have coronavirus is racist. Fear & anxiety over the Other’s infectious toxicity is racism. This is what’s really sickening.

This week the Saugeen Ojibway Nation will vote on a proposal to bury nuclear waste in their territory. This is part of a free, prior and informed consent process. But what if we extended the idea of consent to include the consent of the land and water?

If you want to see the modern echos of late nineteenth century Indian policy and the reservation system, look no further than Trump’s “deal of the century,” which annexes huge swaths of Palestinian territory for Jewish settlers and forever suspends Palestinian independence.

In my professional opinion, should abandon this marketing campaign, issue an apology & donate a portion of revenue accumulated from these flights to which is protecting our sacred mountain Mauna Kea. Do the right thing: take accountability & act on it.

Today is the 200th day since July of 2019 that we have been making our stand on Maunakea. On July 10th Gov Ige announced the destruction of ancestral Hawaiian lands. That weekend Kiaʻi dug in our heels to defend the mountain that is our birth place. We will continue to stand
