The good news is you have more time to practice and prepare for our most difficult, strenuous and anxiety inducing quest to date. Also I'll drop this sneak peek to tantalize your intellectual tastebuds for what's to come.

I've got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is I've decided to bump the launch of Series 6 until midnight UTC February 15. So not this week. Originally I had in my mind a very simple design for FCA00C but our design firm partners had much more rad plans

Stellar Quest team is hard at work developing the next Quest. It involves rockets, asteroids and fuel pods. I could not be more excited for the next iteration of Stellar Quest on Soroban!

3/ I could not be more proud of my colleagues and their partners. This is not just a technology problem it is a people problem as well. Incredible coordination across long periods of time. These are the monumental achievements of our time. Emails, timezones, empathy and patience.

2/ With the release stellar.org/aidassist the crypto game changes. If blockchain never does anything else this will be enough. While the rest of us are out here goofing around hoping someone someday will build something actually impactful the #StellarIRL team shipped that thing

1/ I've been building on blockchain for more than 6 years. I'll admit I didn't see this day in the cards back then. I was just having fun. Micro transactions, NFTs, DeFi, investing, yield, tokenomics, it's all interesting. Today is different.

We’re out here fighting our problems with sticks and stones and AI ‘bouta bust in like a fighter jet. It’s going to get messy before we sort out how to harness this tech for majority human good. Stay safe my friends. Play and frolic but be vigilant. Ctrl+Delete mkay? Promise?

AI isn’t bad, it’s awesome, but it’s an unimaginable seismic shift in how content is generated, discovered and consumed dropping like an atomic bomb onto a world of people deeply challenged with prioritizing mental health, dopamine, purpose, relationships, everything really.

Set your standards for what you want out of the internet and never settle. We’ve all built habits which will quickly turn deadly for a content machine designed to take advantage of our weaknesses. People will get hurt but we can minimize the damage if we see the train coming now.

This disastrous future isn’t years out, it’s months, weeks, even days. It’s going to get dangerous and gross really quickly friends. Buckle up, be prepared to uninstall, unfollow and unsubscribe from apps and influencers you’ve followed and enjoyed for years.

We then (hopefully) will end up on the other side with a more rich and personal internet with a few meaningful not-for-money human interactions and all the marketing and content and gross garbage we’re seeing now will be isolated and specially requested individually.

This could eventually turn out great but not before it gets really really bad. The online experience as we know it will become nearly unusable until the necessary cycles of capitalism and human nature work themselves out.

You write a better ad, a better blog, a better newsletter, a better tweet and I write a bot that just gives me what I want and answers my questions and entertains me uniquely and immediately. I don’t need you and you don’t need ads. At least not ads written for humans.

The near-term future of online content as we know it is bleak. Right now we’re primarily thinking one layer deep. But it won’t take long for AI to work on both sides of creation and consumption creating a terribly efficient, dangerous and distasteful experience.
