I hope they made a formal complaint so that cop can be caught up in an IAB investigation. If nothing comes of it at least it’s on his record.

Sad to say but she probably wont. Black folk need to understand the worst thing a cop wants is complaints on his file. It stops them from getting raises, bonuses, from being promoted. We need to make theee formal complaints every time cops step out of line

I have family in law enforcement and they have literally given their card out to people telling them to make a complaint and they would corroborate their story, and so many don’t. Prob because they don’t believe it and don’t want anymore trouble.

Not surprised that the cop ignores her to hear the man off-camera talk. Then tries to play it off like he’s “hes speaking like a responsible adult.” The cop is listening for an implication; anything to misinterpret as a reason to enter the home...

... and she tries to maintain control of the situation but the man won’t stay quiet. You need to understand that these cops are looking for a reason; the less you say the less they have to use against you. Just let her handle it, she is the homeowner.

So he just walked in? Like, no knock on the door or anything? My sister had a similar event happen to her. Cops just opened the door with my nephew alone in the house, and started snooping around for no reason. She arrived, and kicked them out too. The sheriff was told.

I'm shaking with anger at how quick that officer tried to dismiss her AS THE OWNER OF THE HOUSE and tried to give authority to Kevin, simply because he was a man and wasnt being assertive with him. What that boy says is irrelevant, the owner is speaking and he needs to listen.
