Mayor Harrell is at the D1 Community Network tonight, someone asks about MHA. "I'm not happy at all with how the MHA program is," says an assessment of MHA is happening. Brings up Microsoft funding workforce housing, streamlining permits but having design review "safeguards".

Someone asks Harrell what commitments he can make around transportation in West Seattle *after* the bridge opens. Harrell says he's working on getting the SDOT director pick right, says he's looking for a decisive person who can manage a balance sheet.

Harrell did mention bicycle safety as one of the things that the new SDOT director will balance. Harrell says lack of traffic enforcement in West Seattle is something that can tie into his public safety plan.

Earlier in the meeting, someone brought up the District Neighborhood Councils that Mayor Murray phased out in 2016. He said he's talking to new Director of Neighborhoods director Greg Wong & that they're going to propose something by the end of summer.
