Testing new Leading Pedestrian Interval intersections in Bellevue. They give pedestrians a slight head start to enter the crosswalk in some scenarios, but signal priority seems to still be given for cars turning left.

At intersections where Bellevue installed the pilot program a few months back, they found a 42% reduction in ped-vehicle conflicts. Some Bellevue intersections have tech that can also detect near-misses, so that doesn't just include collisions.
