A light hits the gloom!
Thankful to see @sheetalkamat's solution-style tsconfigs being released in TypeScript 3.9
This really makes Project References shine in VS Code.https://devblogs.microsoft.com/typescript/announcing-typescript-3-9-beta/#solution-style-tsconfig …

Omg this sounds too good to be true, I’ve been struggling with painfully slow editor/type checking times with a fairly large material-ui+styled components codebase. Can’t wait to try it!pic.twitter.com/ubh4d5Lh81

You mention performance issues, have you added "exclude": ["node_modules"] to your tsconfig.json file?

I love how the `export *` is being made mostly to improve consistency with Babel. Unmistakeable evidence of community-minded effort toward a better ecosystem.

Should/can I drop dtslint's $ExpectError in favor of the new native ts-expect-error ? Will it be a drop in replacement for the simple use case, meaning that we could potentially need to use one less testing lib?
-
Not if you use `ExpectType`, but it might fit your use-cases otherwise!
